How to Meditate with your Mala

108 meditacion meditation

Allow yourself to surrender and be lead by your heart.
Sit comfortably in a quiet space and reflect on your goals, dreams and deepest desires. Create a clear intention that resonates with your true authentic self and set infinite possibilities. Hold your mala and fill it with your intention, clear your mind and say your intention 3 times.Wearing your mala will serve as a reminder of the path you have set for yourself. Mala beads can be used to help keep count of your mantras during what is called a Japa meditation cycle. During Japa meditation, you recite your mantra on each bead, going around the entire mala to reach 108 repetitions of that mantra. Through Japa meditation, you will become more aware of your intentions.
A mantra can be an affirmation:
I am compassionate. I am love. I am creative. I am grounded.
Or a traditional mantra:
Gayatri Mantra

Om Bhur Bhuvaḥ Swaḥ
Tat-savitur Vareñyaṃ
Bhargo Devasya Dhīmahi
Dhiyo Yonaḥ Prachodayāt

Meaning: We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and spiritual).
May this divine light illumine our intellect.
